Posted by on 2nd, 2009 The Duncan Keith and the Chicago Blackhawks attempted a comeback late in the game but it wasn’t to be. The Detroit Red Wings dominated the third period of the game to carry a 6-4 victory into the final buzzer.

Pavel Datsyuk and the red hot Detroit Red Wings clinched the first playoff spot today by defeating Marty Turco and the Dallas Stars at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The win gives the Red Wings 100 points on the season, and gives them the win in their Division, and a guaranteed playoff spot.
